Bioesthetics - Biofunction

  • Founder - Dr. Robert Lee.

  • The theory holds that all parts of the mouth - teeth, jaws, jaw joints, muscles, nerves and ligaments - are interrelated in a balanced harmonic system.

  • A dentist trained in Bioesthetics can best identify patients with normal occlusal function or not.

  • Front teeth wear is one of the signs of abnormal occlusion.

  • Jaw joints (TMJ) connect the lower jaw to the skull (cranium) and their position, along with all the associated structures - muscles, nerves, discs, fibers, depends on the interaction between teeth during chewing and swallowing.

  • We chew and swallow more than 2000 times a day!

  • A problem in any of the above can lead not only to esthetic harm but also to pain and a decrease in quality of life.
